Bali will host the 13th conference of the Developing Countries Vaccine ManufacturersÔÇÖ Network at Kartika Plaza Discovery Hotel in Kuta from Oct. 31 through Nov. 2.
Rahman Rustam, chairman of the organizing committee, said that the meeting was expected to create a strategic bridge connecting the vaccine industry in developing countries and Islamic countries in trying to carry out research and developing new types of vaccines.
Stateowned PT Bio Farma vaccine manufacturer and supplier is hosting the conference.
The international gathering will see participation by 37 producers of vaccines from 14 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Iran, South Korea, South Africa, Thailand, Cuba, Vietnam, China and Mexico, with Indonesia as the host country.
